How to Have a Magical Disney Experience From Home
We’re not ashamed to admit that we love Disney, both the movies and the parks. What’s not to love?! They’ve got magic, music, and a seemingly endless supply of epic snacks across the parks. Ok fine, so they also have insanely long lines, crowds, and a pretty large price tag. Disney has evolved from their first park, Disneyland in California, to a total of 6 parks worldwide. A visit to all 6 Disney Parks is on our bucket list, but not really an option at the moment, so we figured why not relive the magic of the parks from home? We’ve put together a few ideas on how to recreate the magic of Disney for your own at home date night.

Wake Up With a Mickey Morning
Disney fans know there’s one iconic must have breakfast when visiting Disney parks and hotels, and that’s the infamous Mickey Waffle. There’s nothing like waking up with a plateful of smiling, thick, crispy little mickey faces to fuel you up for those for your wait in lines all day. To wash down your carb-filled plate of happiness, you need some Joffrey’s coffee. Joffrey’s Coffee is the official coffee of Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and if you really want to feel like you’re there, you can order some on their website or Amazon (we did!).
As for the waffles, you can either make your favorite recipe in a waffle maker like this, use your favorite Mickey cookie cutter, or do your best to freeform those 3 magic little circles into Mickey ears.
Snack Attack
If you Disney, you snack. There’s countless fan favorites when it comes to snacks at Disney Parks. Here’s a few ideas for recreating Disney snacks at home:
- Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar – thankfully these are sold in several local stores
- Disney Dole Whip – there’s nothing like this tropical pineapple favorite
- The Grey Stuff – it truly is delicious
- Cheese it Up – keep it simple with a Disney classic grilled cheese
- LeFou Brew for You – a sweet drink even Gaston would love
Walt Disney World Hotel Charm
Let’s admit it, there’s something magical about a Disney vacation, and a big part of that is if you’re fortunate enough to stay on site in a Disney Resort Hotel. One of our favorite things about staying in a Disney Hotel is also one of the simplest elements – the Disney Hotel Channel. It’s a 24/7 channel with Disney music that shows stats like park times, show times, and hotel information. It’s such a simple perk, but it’s a fan favorite. To kick off your date night event, check out this live stream of the Walt Disney World hotel channel to really feel like you’re in your hotel waiting for your friends and family to hurry up so you can get to the parks.
Unlimited Fast Pass
When you’re submersed in the Disney resort experience, it really does feel like there’s magic in the air. Everything is designed to make your vacation as happy as can be, from the music to decor to some truly amazing rides. It’s hard not to be nostalgic and have a bit of FOMO for not being there. While many Disney Parks have the same or similar rides, there are some unique rides at each. In our quest to visit all 6 Disney Parks, we’ve tried the next best thing and pulled some videos to make you feel like you’re there.
